Jordan entry requirements for Nigeria passport holders
Nigerian passport holders need a visa to enter Jordan in 2026. You must apply and receive approval before you travel — there is no visa on arrival for Nigerian nationals. Plan ahead, as processing can take a couple of weeks.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| eVisa application Apply before travel | Apply for a Jordan eVisa at eservices.moi.gov.jo. The eVisa costs around 40 JOD and is valid for 30 days. Processing takes 2–3 business days — do not book non-refundable flights until approved.Apply for eVisa | Required |
| Valid passport Must be valid for 6 months beyond your stay | Your Nigerian passport needs at least 6 months of validity beyond your intended departure date from Jordan. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Show proof of departure | Jordanian immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed return or onward ticket. Have a printed copy or a screenshot ready on your phone. A ticket to any country outside Jordan works. | Required |
| Proof of accommodation Hotel booking or host invitation | Immigration may ask where you are staying. Have a hotel confirmation email or a letter from your host with their address and phone number. A booking on Booking.com or Agoda works fine. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Show you can cover your stay | Officers rarely ask, but carry a bank statement or credit card showing at least 500 JOD (around $700 USD) for a week-long trip. Cash in USD or EUR is also accepted at the border. | Recommended |
