What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Guinea eVisa portal (if available) or use a trusted visa service. Fill in your details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee online.
2
Wait for approval
Processing usually takes 3–5 business days. You'll receive the eVisa by email as a PDF. Print two copies — one for immigration, one as backup.
3
Prepare your documents for arrival
Before you land, have your printed eVisa, passport, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation ready. Keep them in your hand luggage.
4
Arrive at Conakry International Airport (CKY)
Most international flights arrive at Ahmed Sékou Touré International Airport. Follow signs to 'Immigration' or 'Passport Control'. Join the queue for foreign passports.
5
Present your documents at immigration
Hand over your passport, printed eVisa, and return ticket. The officer will check your details, stamp your passport, and wave you through. This usually takes 2–5 minutes per person.
6
Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, proceed to baggage claim. Then head to customs — green channel if you have nothing to declare, red channel if you do. Exit into the arrivals hall.
