Dutch passport holders can enter Uzbekistan without a visa for stays up to 30 days. This visa-free policy has been in place since 2021 and applies to tourism, business, and transit. Just make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your passport needs to be valid for the entire time you're in Uzbekistan. No 6-month validity rule applies here — just cover your stay dates. Airlines at Schiphol may still ask for 6 months, so check with KLM or your carrier before departure.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Uzbekistan
Immigration officers at Tashkent International Airport routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed copy or a screenshot ready on your phone. This applies even for visa-free entries.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Border officers may ask where you're staying, especially if you arrive without a pre-booked hotel. Have a printed hotel confirmation or a letter of invitation from your host. Hostels and guesthouses work fine — just have something concrete.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Officials rarely ask for this, but it's listed in the regulations. Have a bank statement or a credit card showing you have at least $100 per day of your stay. A screenshot of your banking app works at the border.Recommended
Passport validity counts from arrival
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you land in Uzbekistan, not from your departure date. If it's close to expiring, renew it before you travel.
No extension possible
The 30-day visa-free stay cannot be extended. If you need more time, apply for a visa before you go. Overstaying leads to fines and potential entry bans.

What happens at the border

1
Arrival at the airport
When you land at Tashkent International Airport (or any other international airport), follow the signs to 'Passport Control'. There are separate queues for foreign nationals and Uzbek citizens. Join the foreign nationals queue.
2
Present your passport and ticket
Hand over your passport and your return/onward ticket (if asked). The officer will check your passport validity and stamp you in. This usually takes 1-2 minutes.
3
Collect your luggage and exit
After passport control, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. There's nothing special to declare for personal items. Walk through the green channel if you have nothing to declare.
