Transiting through Australia
Peruvian citizens generally require a Transit visa (subclass 771) to pass through Australia, even if staying airside, unless they hold a valid Australian visa or are eligible for a transit without visa (TWOV) under specific conditions.
- Holders of a valid Australian visa (e.g., visitor, student) do not need a separate transit visa.
- Citizens of certain countries may be eligible for TWOV if they have a confirmed onward ticket and stay within the international transit area for less than 8 hours – but Peru is not currently listed as eligible.
