eVisa is mandatory — no exceptions

Keep digital copies of everything
Save your eVisa PDF, passport scan, return ticket, and hotel booking in a folder on your phone. Also email them to yourself. If your phone dies, you can access them from any computer.

What happens at the border

Apply for eVisa online
Go to e-visa.gov.uz, fill in your details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around $20 USD) by card. You'll get a confirmation email.

Wait for approval
Processing takes 2–3 business days. Check your email (including spam) for the eVisa PDF. If it's been 5 days, contact the support email on the website.

Prepare documents for arrival
Print the eVisa or save it on your phone. Also have your passport, return ticket, and first night hotel booking ready. Keep them in a folder or a note on your phone.

Arrive at an Uzbek airport
You'll land at Tashkent International Airport (TAS) or another international airport. Go to the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Hand over your passport and eVisa. The officer may ask for your return ticket and hotel address. Answer clearly. You'll get a stamp and you're in.
