Valid passport
Must cover your full stay
At least 6 months validity beyond your entry date. Minimum 1 blank page for the entry stamp. Airlines may deny boarding if validity is too close.Required
Return or onward ticket
Officers check this regularly
A confirmed flight out of the country. Immigration may ask to see this — have a screenshot ready on your phone. An onward ticket from a neighbouring country also works.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel name or address
A hotel booking confirmation, or the address of where you are staying. The arrival form often asks for this. A Booking.com or Airbnb confirmation email is fine.Recommended
Proof of funds
Rarely checked
Immigration officers may ask you to demonstrate sufficient funds for your stay. A credit card or bank statement usually suffices.Recommended
Macau uses the same visa policy as mainland China for Filipino passport holders
If you're traveling from mainland China to Macau, the same 30-day visa-free rule applies. However, if you're coming from Hong Kong, note that Hong Kong has a separate visa policy — you'll need to check that separately.
No visa application needed — just show up
This is one of the easiest destinations for Filipino passport holders. No embassy visit, no fee, no paperwork. Just a valid passport and a return ticket.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Macau International Airport or ferry terminal
You'll enter the immigration hall. For flights, follow signs to 'Arrivals' then 'Immigration'. For ferries from Hong Kong or mainland China, you'll go through immigration at the Macau Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal or Taipa Ferry Terminal.
2
Join the 'Visitors' queue
Look for the lane marked 'Visitors' or 'Non-Residents'. Macau immigration is usually efficient — expect a 5-15 minute wait depending on the time of day.
3
Present your passport and supporting documents
Hand over your passport. The officer may ask for your return ticket and hotel booking. Answer any questions clearly. They may also ask how long you plan to stay and where you're going next.
4
Get your entry stamp and proceed
The officer will stamp your passport with the date of entry and the allowed stay (usually 30 days). Check the stamp before walking away — make sure the dates are correct. Then proceed to baggage claim (if applicable) and exit.
