Pakistan passport holders need an eVisa to enter Myanmar. The eVisa covers tourism and business visits, and you must apply online before traveling. Since 2026, the eVisa is the standard way to enter for short stays.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply online before travel
Apply for a Myanmar eVisa at the official Ministry of Immigration portal. Processing takes 3–5 working days, and the eVisa is valid for 90 days from issue. Print the approval letter and carry it with your passport — immigration at Yangon, Mandalay, and Naypyidaw airports will stamp you in.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your stay
Your passport needs at least 6 months of remaining validity from your date of entry into Myanmar. Airlines check this before boarding — if your passport expires sooner, you'll be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Myanmar
Immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return flight. Have a printed or digital copy of your ticket ready — they may deny entry if you can't show one.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host. Immigration may ask where you're staying, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Have at least $300–$500 USD in cash or a credit card statement ready. Immigration rarely asks, but if they do, you need to show you can cover your stay.Recommended
eVisa is not extendable
The eVisa is valid for a single entry and cannot be extended. If you need to stay longer, you must leave and re-enter with a new eVisa.
Keep digital copies handy
Save your eVisa, passport, and return ticket as PDFs or screenshots on your phone. Internet access can be patchy, so offline copies are a lifesaver.
