What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Tajikistan eVisa website (evisa.tj). Fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport-style photo, and pay the fee. Processing takes 3–5 working days. You'll receive the approved visa by email as a PDF.
2
Print the eVisa and pack your documents
Print a copy of the eVisa approval email. Also print or save to your phone: your passport, return ticket, hotel booking, and insurance certificate. Keep them together in a folder.
3
Arrive at Dushanbe International Airport
At immigration, hand over your passport and printed eVisa. The officer will check your passport validity, stamp your entry, and may ask to see your return ticket or hotel booking. The whole process takes about 5–10 minutes if your documents are ready.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, go to baggage claim, then customs. There's usually no customs declaration for personal items. Exit into the arrivals hall where taxis and transport are available.
