What happens at the border

1
Apply for your eVisa online
Go to the official Kenya eVisa website (etakenya.go.ke). Fill in your details, upload a passport photo and your passport bio page, and pay the fee (around $30–$50 depending on visa type). Processing usually takes 2–5 working days.
2
Print or save your eVisa approval
Once approved, you'll receive a PDF. Print a copy and also save it on your phone. You'll show this at check-in and on arrival in Kenya.
3
Prepare documents for departure
At the airport in Romania, the airline will check your passport validity and eVisa. Have your return ticket and accommodation booking ready too.
4
Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) or Moi International Airport (MBA)
After landing, follow signs to immigration. Join the queue for 'Foreign Passports'. Hand over your passport, eVisa approval, and boarding pass. The officer may ask about your stay — answer clearly. You'll get an entry stamp valid for up to 90 days.
