Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Visa application
Apply before travel
You need a visa to enter Morocco. Apply at the Moroccan embassy or consulate in your home country — there is no eVisa system for Serbian passport holders. Processing takes 5–10 working days; submit your passport, photos, flight itinerary, and hotel booking.Check visa requirementsRequired
Valid passport
6 months validity required
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your planned departure date from Morocco. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Immigration officers at Casablanca and Marrakech airports routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return flight or a ticket to your next destination ready.Required
Proof of accommodation
Recommended to carry
Hotel booking confirmations or a letter of invitation from a host in Morocco can speed up the visa process and satisfy border officers. Keep printed copies in your carry-on.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended to carry
Carry at least €100 per day of stay in cash or show a recent bank statement. Morocco is a cash-heavy country — many small shops and taxis do not accept cards.Recommended
Visa required — no exceptions
Serbian citizens cannot enter Morocco without an approved visa. There is no visa waiver or visa on arrival. Apply well in advance.
Keep digital copies of everything
Save your visa approval, passport, and tickets as PDFs on your phone and in cloud storage. If you lose the paper copies, you'll still have them.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the visa online
Go to the official Moroccan e-visa website (or visit the Moroccan embassy in Belgrade). Fill out the application, upload your passport scan and photo, and pay the fee. Processing typically takes 5–10 business days.
2
Receive your visa approval
Once approved, you'll get a PDF or email confirmation. Print it out and keep a digital copy on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and at immigration in Morocco.
3
Pack your documents
Before you leave, gather: passport (6+ months validity), visa approval, return ticket, hotel booking, and travel insurance. Keep them in your carry-on.
4
Arrive at the airport in Morocco
At Casablanca, Marrakech, or any other Moroccan airport, go to the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Hand over your passport and visa approval. The officer may ask about your return ticket and accommodation. Answer clearly and calmly.
5
Get your passport stamped
The officer will stamp your passport with your entry date. Check the stamp before leaving the counter — make sure the date is correct. You're now legally in Morocco.
