Serbian passport holders need an eVisa to visit Myanmar. The eVisa covers tourism and business, and you must apply online before traveling. As of 2026, the process is straightforward but requires careful attention to passport validity and onward travel.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Apply for a Myanmar eVisa at the official government portal. Processing takes up to 3 business days, and you must print the approval letter to present on arrival. The eVisa is valid for single entry only.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for 6 months beyond stay
Your passport must have at least 6 months of validity remaining from your date of entry into Myanmar. Airlines check this at check-in, and immigration at Yangon or Mandalay will deny boarding if it's short.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Immigration officers at Myanmar airports routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return or onward ticket ready — they may deny entry without it.Required
Proof of accommodation
Recommended to carry
Hotel booking confirmations or an invitation letter from a host can smooth the immigration process. Officers rarely ask, but having a printed copy avoids delays if questioned.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended to carry
Carry evidence of sufficient funds — around $300 USD equivalent in cash or a bank statement. Immigration may ask if you look underprepared, especially for longer stays.Recommended
eVisa only for air arrivals
The Myanmar eVisa is only valid for entry at Yangon, Mandalay, and Naypyidaw airports. If you plan to enter by land from Thailand, India, or China, you need a different visa type.
Keep documents in hand luggage
Have your passport, eVisa, return ticket, and hotel booking in your hand luggage. You'll need them at immigration before you collect your bags.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Myanmar eVisa website (evisa.moip.gov.mm). Fill in your personal details, passport info, and travel dates. Upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around $50 USD) with a credit card. You'll get a confirmation email, then the approved eVisa within 3–5 business days.
2
Print or save your eVisa
Once approved, print a paper copy of the eVisa and also save a digital copy on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and at immigration in Myanmar.
3
Prepare your documents for arrival
Before you land, have your passport, eVisa, return ticket, and hotel booking confirmation ready. Keep them in your hand luggage, not checked bags.
4
Arrive at Yangon, Mandalay, or Naypyidaw airport
Most international flights arrive at Yangon International Airport (RGN). Go to the immigration queue for eVisa holders. Present your passport, eVisa, and onward ticket. The officer will stamp your passport and let you through. The whole process usually takes 15–30 minutes.
5
Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, collect your bags from the carousel, then proceed to customs. There's usually no customs declaration for personal items. Exit into the arrivals hall.
