Valid passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your stay
Your passport needs at least 6 months of validity remaining from your date of entry. Airlines enforce this strictly — they will deny boarding if your passport expires sooner.Required

Proof of departure from Saudi Arabia
Immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed copy or a digital version on your phone ready to show.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel confirmation or an invitation letter from your Saudi host. Officers sometimes ask for it, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can cover your stay
Have a bank statement or credit card ready. Officers rarely ask for it, but having it avoids delays if they do.Recommended
Passport validity is strict
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Saudi Arabia. If it's even one day short, you'll be denied boarding or entry. Check your passport now.
eVisa covers tourism and Umrah
The Saudi tourist eVisa allows you to perform Umrah (but not Hajj) and visit most tourist sites. It's a multiple-entry visa valid for one year.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to visa.visitsaudi.com, fill out the application form, upload a passport photo, and pay the fee. Processing usually takes 2–5 business days. You'll receive the approved visa by email.
2
Prepare your documents
Print or save to your phone: the eVisa approval, your passport (check validity), return flight booking, and first night hotel confirmation. Keep them together in a folder or on your phone's lock screen.
3
Arrive at a Saudi airport
At immigration, hand over your passport and eVisa. The officer may ask for your return ticket and hotel address. Answer clearly. You'll get an entry stamp — usually no fingerprinting for tourists.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After clearing immigration, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. There's usually nothing to declare for personal items. Exit into the arrivals hall.
