Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Apply for an Armenian eVisa at evisa.mfa.am. Processing takes 2–3 working days, and the visa is valid for up to 120 days with a single entry of up to 60 days. Print the approval email and carry it with your passport.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for entire stay
Your passport must be valid for the entire duration of your stay in Armenia. No minimum validity beyond your departure date is required by Armenian law, but airlines may enforce a 6-month rule — check with your carrier.Required
Return or onward ticket
Recommended to show at check-in
Border officers rarely ask for a return ticket, but airlines may request proof of onward travel before boarding. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight itinerary ready.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Recommended to carry
Hotel booking confirmations or a letter of invitation from a host can speed up immigration. Officers may ask where you're staying, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended to carry
Carry enough cash or a credit card to cover your stay — around $50–$100 USD per day is a safe benchmark. Immigration rarely checks, but having a bank statement or card on hand avoids surprises.Recommended
eVisa is valid for 120 days per entry
The eVisa allows a maximum stay of 120 days per entry. You can enter multiple times within the visa's validity period, but each stay can't exceed 120 days.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from the day you land in Armenia, not from when you apply. If it expires sooner, you'll be turned away at the border.
