Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must cover your entire stay in Georgia
Your passport needs to be valid for the full duration of your stay. Georgia does not enforce a 6-month validity rule beyond your departure date, but your airline might — check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Recommended to show at immigration
Immigration officers at Tbilisi and Kutaisi airports rarely ask for a return ticket, but budget airlines may require proof of onward travel before boarding. Have a printed or digital copy of your onward itinerary ready.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Recommended to show at immigration
Officers may ask where you are staying, especially if you arrive without a clear plan. A hotel booking confirmation or a letter from a host is enough — no need for a full itinerary.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended to show at immigration
Georgia does not have a fixed minimum amount, but carrying around $500–$1,000 in cash or having a credit card statement showing available funds covers you if asked. ATMs are widely available in Tbilisi and Batumi.Recommended
360-day stay is generous — but track your dates
You can stay almost a full year without a visa. Mark your exit date on your calendar. Overstaying even by a day can cause problems at the border and affect future visits.
No visa fee, no application needed
Just show up with your passport and a return ticket. No embassy visit, no visa fee, no paperwork. It's one of the easiest visa-free arrangements for Saudi passport holders.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Tbilisi International Airport (or land border)
You'll join the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Have your passport and return ticket ready. The officer will scan your passport, take a photo, and stamp you in. The whole process usually takes 2-5 minutes.
2
Present your passport and answer questions
The officer may ask: 'How long are you staying?' and 'Where are you staying?' Answer clearly. Show your hotel booking if asked. No visa or fee is required.
3
Receive your entry stamp
The officer will stamp your passport with the date of entry. No separate visa sticker or document is issued. You're free to stay up to 360 days from this date.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After passport control, proceed to baggage claim (if you checked bags), then walk through the green 'Nothing to Declare' channel unless you have goods to declare.
