Swedish passport holders can enter Singapore without a visa for stays up to 90 days. This has been the policy for years and remains unchanged in 2026. Just show up with your passport and a return ticket, and you'll be through immigration in minutes.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your Swedish passport only needs to be valid for the entire time you're in Singapore. No 6-month rule applies here. Airlines sometimes check passport validity at check-in, so confirm yours covers your full stay.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Singapore
Immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed onward ticket. A flight booking out of Singapore within 90 days works. If you're continuing to another country, a bus or ferry ticket also satisfies this.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host confirmation
Have a hotel reservation or a letter from your host ready. Immigration rarely asks for it, but if they do, a printed booking confirmation or a digital copy on your phone works.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Carry a bank statement or a credit card with a reasonable limit. Immigration almost never checks this for Swedish passport holders, but having it ready avoids delays.Recommended
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Singapore immigration will deny entry if your passport has less than 6 months of validity left from your date of entry. No exceptions. Check your passport before booking.
No arrival card needed
Singapore scrapped the paper arrival card and the online SG Arrival Card for most visitors. Just walk up to the immigration counter with your passport.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Changi Airport
You'll land at Singapore Changi Airport (SIN). Follow signs to 'Arrivals' and 'Foreign Passports'. The immigration hall is well-signed and usually fast.
2
Join the foreign passport queue
Look for the 'All Passports' or 'Foreign Passports' lanes. Automated e-gates are available for some nationalities, but as a Swedish passport holder, you'll use the manned counters.
3
Present your documents
Hand over your passport and any supporting documents if asked (return ticket, accommodation). The officer will scan your passport, take a photo, and stamp you in. No forms to fill.
4
Receive your entry stamp
The officer will stamp your passport with the date of entry and the allowed stay duration (usually 90 days). Check the stamp before walking away.
5
Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, head to baggage claim, then customs. Green channel if you have nothing to declare, red channel if you do. Then you're free to go.
