Passport validity is strictly enforced
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your entry date. Turkish immigration checks this at the border. If your passport expires sooner, you will be denied entry — no exceptions.

The 90-day allowance is within any 180-day period. This means if you stay 30 days, leave, and return, you have 60 days left. Use the Turkish e-Visa website to check your remaining days if unsure.
What happens at the border

Arrival at Turkish airport
After landing, follow signs to 'Passport Control' (Yabancı Şube). Join the queue for foreign passports. Have your passport and return ticket ready. The officer will stamp your passport and may ask your purpose of visit and where you're staying.

Present documents
Hand over your passport. If asked, show your return ticket and accommodation booking. Answer questions clearly (e.g., 'tourism' or 'business meeting'). The officer will check your passport validity and stamp it.

Collect luggage and exit
After passport control, proceed to baggage claim. Then head to customs (usually nothing to declare). Exit into the arrivals hall.
