Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for at least 3 months beyond your departure date from the Schengen area
Your Singapore passport needs at least 3 months of validity remaining after your planned exit from Finland (and the entire Schengen zone). Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding. No minimum blank page requirement for visa-free entry.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from the Schengen area
Finnish border officers routinely ask for a return or onward ticket out of the Schengen zone. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready. A bus or train ticket to a non-Schengen country also works.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a hotel confirmation, Airbnb booking, or a letter of invitation from your host in Finland. Border officers may ask where you are staying on arrival. A simple printout or phone screenshot works.Recommended
Proof of funds
Sufficient means for your stay
Finland does not enforce a fixed daily minimum, but have access to around €50–€70 per day of your stay. A recent bank statement or credit card showing available credit is enough. Officers rarely ask, but it covers you if they do.Recommended
90-day limit applies to all Schengen countries
Your 90-day visa-free stay is shared across all 27 Schengen countries. If you've already spent time in France, Germany, or any other Schengen country in the past 180 days, that time counts toward your 90-day limit in Finland.
No arrival declaration needed
Singapore passport holders do not need to fill out an arrival declaration or pre-register online before entering Finland. Just show up with your passport and documents.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Helsinki Airport (HEL) or other entry point
You'll join the 'All Passports' queue at passport control. Have your passport, return ticket, and accommodation proof ready. The officer will check your passport validity and may ask about your trip purpose and length of stay.
2
Passport stamping
The officer will stamp your passport with the entry date. This stamp marks the start of your 90-day visa-free period. Keep the stamp visible — you'll need it for exit checks.
3
Exit Schengen area
When leaving Finland (or any Schengen country), you'll go through passport control again. The officer may check that you haven't overstayed. Have your return ticket ready.
