Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Senegalese passport holders need a visa for Armenia. Apply online at evisa.mfa.am — the eVisa is the standard route. Processing takes 3–5 working days, and you receive the visa by email. Print the approval and carry it with your passport.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must cover entire stay
Your passport must be valid for the whole period you plan to stay in Armenia. Armenia does not enforce a 6-month validity rule, but airlines sometimes ask for it — check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure
Border officers at Zvartnots Airport ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready showing your departure from Armenia within the visa's validity period.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Immigration may ask where you're staying. Have a hotel confirmation or an invitation letter from your host ready. A simple booking printout or email works.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Officers can ask for evidence of sufficient funds. Carry a bank statement or credit card showing access to at least $50–$100 per day of your stay. Cash in USD or EUR is widely accepted.Recommended
Apply early — no visa on arrival
Senegalese passport holders cannot get a visa at the airport. You must have an approved e-Visa before you fly. Apply at least 1 week before departure.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for 6 months from the day you land in Armenia, not from your departure date. If it expires sooner, renew it first.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for your e-Visa online
Go to evisa.mfa.am, fill out the application form, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the visa fee (around $8–$15 depending on processing speed). Wait 2–3 business days for approval. You'll receive the visa by email.
2
Pack your documents
Print or save on your phone: the e-Visa approval email, your return/onward ticket, and your first night's accommodation confirmation. Also have your passport ready with at least one blank page.
3
Arrive at Zvartnots International Airport (EVN) in Yerevan
After landing, follow signs to 'Passport Control'. Join the queue for non-Armenian passports. Have your passport and e-Visa ready. The officer will check your documents, stamp your passport, and wave you through. The process usually takes 5–10 minutes per person.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After passport control, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. There's usually no customs declaration for personal items. Exit into the arrivals hall.
