What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Zvartnots Airport or land border
At Yerevan's Zvartnots Airport, follow signs to 'Visa on Arrival' after baggage claim. At land borders (e.g., from Georgia or Iran), look for the visa office window. The queue is usually short — 5–15 minutes.
2
Present your documents
Hand over your passport, return ticket (printed or on phone), and accommodation booking. The officer will check your passport validity and blank page. No forms to fill — just hand them over.
3
Pay the visa fee
The fee is about 15,000 AMD (roughly $38 USD) for a 21-day stay. Pay in Armenian Dram (AMD) or US dollars — euros may also be accepted. Keep small bills handy. Credit cards are not accepted at the visa counter.
4
Receive your visa and enter
The officer stamps or sticks a visa into your passport. Check the dates before walking away. You're now free to enter Armenia. Head to customs and then out into the arrivals hall.
