Biometrics appointments in Turkey
You must attend a biometrics appointment in person at a UK Visa Application Centre in Ankara, Istanbul, or Izmir. You cannot do this online. Book your appointment as soon as you submit your application — slots fill up quickly.

Apply for your visa online
Go to gov.uk/apply-uk-visa and complete the online application form. You'll need to upload supporting documents (passport scan, bank statements, travel itinerary, accommodation bookings). Pay the visa fee (currently £115 for a 6-month Standard Visitor visa).

Attend your biometrics appointment
After submitting your application, book an appointment at a UK Visa Application Centre in Turkey (Ankara, Istanbul, or Izmir). Bring your passport, appointment confirmation, and any requested documents. They'll take your photo and fingerprints.

Wait for a decision
Processing usually takes 3–8 weeks. You'll receive an email with the decision. If approved, your passport will be returned with the visa vignette inside.

Travel to the UK
When you arrive at a UK airport (e.g., Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester), go to the 'Other Passports' queue. Have your passport, return ticket, and accommodation details ready. The Border Force officer may ask about your trip purpose, funds, and plans. Answer honestly.

Collect your luggage and exit
After passing immigration, collect your bags from the carousel and proceed through customs (green channel if nothing to declare). You're now in the UK.
