Apply early — processing can be slow
eVisa processing can take up to 10 business days. Don't wait until the last minute. Apply at least 2 weeks before your departure to avoid stress.
Keep digital copies of everything
Save your eVisa, passport bio page, return ticket, and hotel booking as PDFs on your phone. Also keep printed copies in your carry-on. Immigration may ask for any of these.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for eVisa online
Go to the official Kuwait eVisa website (evisa.moi.gov.kw). Fill in your personal details, passport info, and travel dates. Upload a scanned copy of your passport bio page and a recent passport-style photo. Pay the visa fee online (around 3–6 KWD depending on visa type). Wait for approval — typically 5–10 business days.
2
Receive and print your visa
Once approved, you'll receive an eVisa document by email. Print a copy and save a PDF on your phone. You'll need to show this at check-in and on arrival in Kuwait.
3
Arrive at Kuwait International Airport
At the airport, follow signs to 'Visitors' or 'Non-Residents' immigration. Have your passport, printed eVisa, return ticket, and accommodation booking ready. The officer may ask your purpose of visit and how long you're staying. Answer clearly. After stamping, you'll be allowed entry.
