Ukrainian passport holders need an eVisa to enter Myanmar for tourism or business. The eVisa is valid for 90 days from issue and allows a single entry stay of up to 28 days. Apply online before you travel — there's no visa on arrival for Ukrainians as of 2026.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply before travel
Apply for a Myanmar eVisa at the official Ministry of Immigration portal. Processing takes 3–5 working days, and you'll receive an approval letter by email. Print that letter and carry it with your passport — immigration at Yangon and Mandalay airports checks it before they stamp you in.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must have 6 months validity beyond your stay
Your passport needs at least 6 months of remaining validity from your date of entry. Airlines at Boryspil and Lviv check this before boarding — if your passport expires sooner, you'll be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Required for entry
Immigration officers at Yangon International Airport routinely ask for proof of a flight out of Myanmar. Have a printed itinerary or digital boarding pass ready — they won't let you through without one.Required
Proof of accommodation
Recommended to carry
Hotel booking confirmations or a letter of invitation from a host in Myanmar can speed up the immigration process. Officers rarely ask, but having a printed copy avoids delays.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended to carry
Carry at least $300 USD in cash or a bank statement showing sufficient funds. Immigration doesn't always check, but budget airlines and some land border crossings may ask.Recommended
No visa on arrival for Ukrainians
Myanmar does not offer a visa on arrival for Ukrainian passport holders. You must have an approved eVisa before you board your flight. Airlines check this at check-in.
Print your eVisa — digital won't work
Myanmar immigration requires a paper copy of your eVisa approval. A screenshot or PDF on your phone is not accepted at the counter. Print it before you leave home or at a hotel business centre.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Myanmar eVisa website (evisa.moip.gov.mm). Fill in your personal details, passport info, and travel dates. Upload a recent passport-style photo (digital, white background). Pay the fee with a credit or debit card. Processing takes 3–5 working days for most applicants.
2
Receive and print your eVisa
Once approved, you'll get a PDF via email. Print it — immigration officers at Yangon, Mandalay, or Naypyidaw airports will ask for a paper copy. Keep a digital copy on your phone as backup.
3
Arrive at Myanmar immigration
At the airport, join the 'eVisa' queue (not the visa-on-arrival line). Hand over your passport, printed eVisa, and arrival card (filled out on the plane). The officer will stamp you in for up to 28 days. Expect a short wait — 10–20 minutes if the queue is light.
4
Complete the arrival card
You'll get a small white card on the flight. Fill it out with your passport details, flight number, and hotel address. Keep it with your passport — you'll hand it to immigration along with your eVisa.
