What happens at the border

Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Myanmar eVisa website (evisa.moip.gov.mm). Fill in your personal and passport details, upload a passport-style photo, and pay the fee. Processing takes 3-5 business days. You'll receive an approval letter by email.

Print the eVisa approval letter
Print a copy of the eVisa approval letter. Keep it with your passport. You'll need to show it at check-in and on arrival in Myanmar.

Arrive at the airport in Myanmar
At Yangon International Airport (RGN), Mandalay International Airport (MDL), or Naypyidaw International Airport (NYT), proceed to the immigration counter. Have your passport, eVisa approval letter, and return ticket ready. The officer will stamp your passport and let you through.

Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, collect your checked luggage from the carousel. Then proceed to customs. There's usually no customs declaration for personal items. Exit into the arrivals hall.
