Apply early — slots fill up fast
Visa appointment slots at the Kampala centre can be booked out weeks in advance, especially during summer and Christmas. Book your appointment as soon as you have your travel dates confirmed.

With a Norwegian visa, you can also visit France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and other Schengen countries. Just make sure Norway is your main destination or first point of entry.

Prepare your documents
Gather your passport, completed application form, flight booking, accommodation proof, travel insurance, bank statements, and visa fee. Make photocopies of everything.

Book an appointment
Schedule an appointment at the Norwegian visa application centre (VFS Global or TLScontact) in Kampala. Walk-ins are not accepted.

Submit your application in person
Go to the visa centre at your appointment time. Submit your documents, provide biometrics (fingerprints and photo), and pay the fee. Processing takes about 15 calendar days.

Wait for a decision
The embassy may call you for an interview or request additional documents. Track your application online using the reference number from your receipt.

Collect your passport
Once approved, collect your passport from the visa centre or have it couriered to you. Check the visa sticker for correct dates and validity.

Travel to Norway
At the border, present your passport with the visa sticker, return ticket, and accommodation proof. The officer may ask about your itinerary — answer clearly.
