What happens at the border

1
Apply for eVisa online
Go to https://evisa.moip.gov.mm/. Fill in your personal details, passport info, and travel dates. Upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around $50 USD) by credit card. Processing takes 1-3 business days. You'll receive the approval by email.
2
Print your eVisa approval
Print the eVisa approval letter you receive by email. Also save a PDF on your phone as backup. You'll need to show it at check-in and at immigration in Myanmar.
3
Arrive at Yangon or Mandalay airport
Most flights land at Yangon International Airport (RGN) or Mandalay International Airport (MDL). Follow signs to 'Foreign Passports' immigration. Have your passport, eVisa printout, and boarding pass ready. The officer will stamp you in. Keep the arrival card they give you on the plane.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, collect your bags from the carousel. There's a customs declaration if you have items to declare. Otherwise, walk straight through the green channel and exit.
