Visa on arrival
Visa on arrival
Uzbek passport holders get a visa on arrival at Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) and other land borders. Pay the fee in Jordanian dinars (JOD) — around 40 JOD for a single-entry visa. Have a printed copy of your hotel booking and return ticket ready at the visa counter.Apply onlineRequired
Valid passport
Passport validity
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Jordan. Airlines check this before boarding — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of onward travel
Immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed onward ticket out of Jordan. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready. Without one, you may be refused entry or asked to buy a ticket at the airport.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation
Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Jordan. Border officers sometimes ask for this, especially if you arrive without a pre-booked itinerary.Recommended
Proof of funds
Financial means
Have access to at least 500 JOD (around $700 USD) in cash or on a card. Immigration may ask how you plan to fund your stay — showing a bank statement or credit card usually satisfies them.Recommended
Cash only for visa fee
The visa on arrival fee must be paid in Jordanian Dinars — no credit cards, no foreign currency. ATMs are available after immigration, but you'll need cash before that. Exchange a small amount at the airport or bring JOD with you.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you land in Jordan, not from your departure date. If your passport expires sooner, renew it before you travel — you'll be denied entry otherwise.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Jordanian port of entry
You'll land at Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) in Amman, or cross at a land border like the King Hussein Bridge. Follow signs to 'Visa on Arrival' or 'Immigration'.
2
Queue at the visa on arrival counter
Join the line at the designated counter. Have your passport, return ticket, and accommodation confirmation ready. The officer will process your visa and collect the fee.
3
Pay the visa fee
Pay in cash (Jordanian Dinars). Keep the receipt. The officer will stamp your passport with the visa.
4
Proceed to passport control
After getting the visa, go to the passport control booth. The officer will check your documents, take a photo if needed, and let you through.
5
Collect luggage and exit
Pick up your bags from the carousel and proceed through customs. You're now in Jordan.
