Uzbek passport holders can enter Tajikistan without any visa for stays up to 30 days. Just show your valid passport at the border. No fee, no form, no interview.
Passport validity is critical
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your entry date. If it expires sooner, you will be refused entry. Check your passport's expiry date before booking anything.
Have your return ticket and accommodation ready
While not always asked, immigration officers may request proof of onward travel and where you're staying. Keep a screenshot of your return ticket and hotel booking on your phone.

What happens at the border

1
Prepare your documents
Before you leave, check your passport validity (6+ months from entry date), book your return/onward ticket, and save your first night accommodation confirmation. Also arrange travel insurance and an eSIM if you want them.
2
Arrive at the airport or land border
You'll enter Tajikistan through Dushanbe International Airport, Khujand Airport, or one of the land border crossings from Uzbekistan (e.g., Oybek, Dusti). At the immigration counter, hand over your passport.
3
Receive your entry stamp
The immigration officer will stamp your passport with a visa-free entry valid for up to 30 days. No visa application, no fee, no interview. The process usually takes 2–5 minutes.
4
Show supporting documents if asked
In most cases, the officer will just stamp and wave you through. Occasionally they may ask for your return ticket or accommodation confirmation. Have them ready on your phone or printed.
5
Collect your luggage and exit
After immigration, pick up your bags from the carousel (if arriving by air) and proceed through customs. You're now free to explore Tajikistan.
