Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your passport needs to be valid for at least the length of your stay in Singapore. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires before you leave Singapore, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Singapore
Immigration officers routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return flight or a ticket to your next destination ready. Budget airlines are especially strict about this at check-in.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a hotel confirmation or a letter of invitation from your host. Immigration rarely asks, but if they do and you have nothing, you may be questioned further.Recommended
Proof of funds
Sufficient cash or bank statement
Have access to at least SGD 1,000–2,000 for a short stay. A bank statement or credit card is fine — immigration rarely checks, but it's one less thing to worry about.Recommended
SG Arrival Card (electronic)
Online pre-registration for all visitors
All travellers entering Singapore must submit the SG Arrival Card online within 3 days before arrival. Fill it in at the ICA website — it takes 5 minutes and gives you a QR code for faster immigration clearance.Submit SG Arrival CardRequired
Overstaying is not worth it
Singapore is strict about overstaying. Even one day over your 30-day limit can result in a fine of SGD 500–1,000, a formal warning, or a ban from re-entering. If you need more time, leave and re-enter from Malaysia or Indonesia before your 30 days are up.
SG Arrival Card is mandatory
Every traveller must submit the SG Arrival Card before arrival. It's free, digital, and takes 5 minutes. Do it on the ICA website or MyICA app within 3 days of your flight. Without it, you'll be held up at immigration.

What happens at the border

1
Complete the SG Arrival Card online
Go to the ICA website or download the MyICA mobile app. Fill in your passport details, flight info, and accommodation address. Submit it up to 3 days before you fly. You'll get a confirmation email — keep it handy.
2
Prepare your documents at the airport
At Changi Airport, follow signs to 'Foreign Passports' immigration counters. Have your passport, boarding pass, and the SG Arrival Card confirmation ready. The officer will scan your passport, take a photo, and stamp your entry. The whole process takes about 30 seconds if you have everything ready.
3
Collect your luggage and exit
After clearing immigration, head to the baggage claim area. Then proceed through customs (green lane if you have nothing to declare). You're now free to enter Singapore.

Frequently asked questions

No. The visa-free entry for Bosnia and Herzegovina passport holders is not extendable. If you need to stay longer, you must apply for a visa before travelling or leave and re-enter after a short trip to a neighbouring country (like Malaysia or Indonesia). Overstaying is serious — fines start at SGD 500 and can lead to a ban.
Yes, an onward ticket to any destination works. It just needs to be a confirmed booking showing you'll leave Singapore within 30 days. A bus or ferry ticket to Malaysia is also accepted if you have the booking confirmation.
You can still submit it at the airport using the free Wi-Fi or at a kiosk near immigration. But it's much easier to do it before you fly — the form takes 5 minutes and saves you standing in line fiddling with your phone.
No. Singapore does not offer visa on arrival for any nationality. You either qualify for visa-free entry (which you do) or need to apply for a visa in advance. Your 30-day visa-free entry is the standard option.
No. The visa-free entry is strictly for tourism, business meetings, or transit. You cannot take up employment or enrol in a course. For work or study, you need the appropriate work pass or student pass applied for before you arrive.
You will likely be denied boarding by the airline. Singapore immigration strictly enforces the 6-month validity rule. If your passport is close to expiring, renew it before you book your trip.
No routine vaccinations are required for entry. However, if you're arriving from a country with yellow fever risk, you need a yellow fever vaccination certificate. For most travellers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, no special shots are needed.
