Return or onward ticket
Immigration may ask for proof
Have a printed or digital copy of your return or onward flight ticket. Vietnam immigration officers sometimes ask for it at the border, especially if you arrive without a pre-booked departure.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a printed hotel reservation or an invitation letter from your host. Immigration rarely checks it, but having it ready avoids delays if asked.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can cover your stay
Have a bank statement or cash equivalent to at least $500 USD for the trip. Officers rarely request it, but it's a standard requirement on paper.Recommended
eVisa is the only option
There is no visa on arrival for Bosnia passport holders. You must get the eVisa before you fly. No exceptions.
Passport validity is strict
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your entry date. If it's less, you'll be turned away at the gate.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for eVisa online
Go to the official Vietnam eVisa website (evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn). Fill in your personal details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport data page. Pay the fee (about $25) with a credit or debit card. Processing takes 3–5 working days.
2
Receive and print eVisa approval
Once approved, you'll get an email with your eVisa approval letter. Print it out and save a copy on your phone. The letter has a QR code that immigration will scan.
3
Arrive at Vietnam airport
At the airport (e.g., Noi Bai in Hanoi, Tan Son Nhat in Ho Chi Minh City), head to the 'eVisa' or 'Visa on Arrival' counter. Present your passport, printed eVisa letter, and return ticket. You'll be stamped in — no extra fee.
4
Pass through immigration
Hand over your passport and eVisa letter. The officer may ask a few questions (purpose of visit, where you're staying). Answer briefly. You'll get an entry stamp valid for up to 90 days.
