Valid passport
Must cover entire stay
Your passport must be valid for the full duration of your stay in Taiwan. Taiwan does not enforce the 6-month validity rule for Bahraini passport holders, but your airline may still check for it at check-in.Required
Return or onward ticket
Recommended
Immigration officers at Taoyuan Airport routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return flight or onward ticket ready.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Recommended
Hotel booking confirmation or an invitation letter from your host in Taiwan. Immigration may ask for it if you look under-prepared.Recommended
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you enter Taiwan. If it expires sooner, you will be denied boarding or entry. Renew before you apply.
eVisa is not extendable
The eVisa for Bahraini passport holders cannot be extended. Plan your trip so you leave before the visa expires. Overstaying can result in fines and future entry bans.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the Taiwan eVisa portal (visawebapp.boca.gov.tw). Fill in your personal details, upload a passport-style photo and a scan of your passport bio page. Pay the fee (around 1,600 TWD, roughly 50 USD) by credit card. Submit and wait for processing — typically 2–5 business days.
2
Receive and save your eVisa approval
You'll get an email with your eVisa approval document. Download and print a copy, and also save a PDF on your phone. Keep it with your passport.
3
Prepare your supporting documents
Book your return or onward ticket and your first night's accommodation. Save screenshots or print confirmations. Arrange travel insurance and an eSIM if you want them.
4
Arrive at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) or Kaohsiung International Airport (KHH)
At immigration, present your passport and printed eVisa approval. The officer may ask to see your return ticket and accommodation confirmation. Have them ready. After a quick check, you'll be stamped in.
