Netherlands entry requirements for Colombia passport holders
Colombian passport holders can visit the Netherlands for tourism or business for up to 90 days within any 180-day period without a visa. This also applies to the entire Schengen Area, so you can travel to other Schengen countries during your trip. Before you travel, ensure your passport meets the validity and blank page requirements.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Valid passport Must be valid for the entire stay in the Netherlands | Your Colombian passport needs to be valid for the full 90 days you plan to stay. Schengen rules do not require 6 months of validity beyond your departure date, but airlines sometimes enforce it — check with your carrier before flying. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Proof of departure from the Schengen area | Immigration at Schiphol Airport routinely asks for a return or onward ticket showing you leave the Schengen zone within 90 days. A bus or train ticket to a non-Schengen country works too. | Required |
| Proof of accommodation Hotel booking or host invitation | Have a hotel confirmation, Airbnb booking, or a signed invitation letter from your host ready. Border officers rarely ask for it, but if they do, not having one can delay your entry. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Show you can support yourself during the stay | Carry a bank statement or credit card showing access to at least €55 per day of your stay. Immigration rarely checks this for Colombian passport holders, but it's a legal requirement under Schengen rules. | Recommended |

Transiting through Netherlands
Colombia passport holders do not need a transit visa for airside transit through Netherlands airports (e.g., Schiphol) if staying in the international transit area and holding a confirmed onward ticket.
- Must have a valid visa for the final destination if required.
- Transit without visa is only for airside; if leaving the airport, a Schengen visa is needed.
