Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Georgia does not require 6 months of passport validity beyond your stay — your passport just needs to be valid for the entire time you're in the country. Airlines may still enforce the 6-month rule, so check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Georgia
Immigration officers at Tbilisi and Kutaisi airports routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready showing you leave within 360 days.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Border officers may ask where you're staying, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary. A hotel confirmation or a letter from a host with their address is enough.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself during your stay
Georgia rarely checks funds for Danish passport holders, but having a bank statement or credit card showing access to around 500 GEL per day (roughly $185 USD) covers you if asked.Recommended
Visa-free for 360 days
Danish passport holders can stay in Georgia for up to 360 days per year without any visa. No application, no fee, no registration. Just show your passport at the border.
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry. Airlines check this before boarding, and immigration checks on arrival. If your passport expires sooner, renew it before you travel.

What happens at the border

1
Arrival at Tbilisi International Airport
After landing, follow signs to 'Passport Control'. There are separate queues for Georgian citizens and foreigners. Join the 'Foreign Passports' line. Have your passport ready.
2
Present your passport to the officer
Hand over your passport. The officer will check your photo and validity. They may ask your purpose of visit and how long you plan to stay. Answer briefly and honestly.
3
Receive entry stamp
The officer will stamp your passport with the date of entry. No visa sticker is applied. The stamp is your proof of legal entry. Check the stamp before walking away.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After passport control, proceed to baggage claim. Then walk through the green 'Nothing to Declare' channel if you have no goods to declare. Customs checks are random.
