Spanish passport holders can visit Armenia visa-free for up to 180 days per year. No visa application or fee is needed before travel — just show up with your passport and you'll be stamped in at the border. This policy is in effect for 2026.

Valid passport
Must cover your entire stay in Armenia
Your Spanish passport needs to be valid for the full duration of your stay. Armenia does not require 6 months of remaining validity beyond your departure date — just enough to cover the time you plan to be in the country. Airlines may still enforce the 6-month rule, so check with your carrier before flying.
Required
Return or onward ticket
Recommended for visa-free entry
Immigration officers at Zvartnots Airport in Yerevan may ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return flight or a ticket to your next destination ready. Without one, you risk being denied boarding or entry.
Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Recommended for visa-free entry
Border officers may request a hotel booking or an invitation letter from a host in Armenia. Keep a printed confirmation or a digital copy on your phone. If staying with friends, have their contact details and address written down.
Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended for visa-free entry
You may be asked to show you have enough money for your stay. Have a recent bank statement or a credit card ready. There is no fixed minimum amount, but around 50,000 AMD (roughly €120) per day is a safe benchmark.
Recommended
No visa needed — but carry proof of onward travel
Immigration officers at Zvartnots Airport sometimes ask to see a return or onward ticket. Have a screenshot or printed copy ready. They rarely ask for proof of accommodation, but it's smart to have it.
Passport validity is strict
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry. If it expires sooner, you'll be refused boarding by the airline or denied entry at the border. Renew early.
What happens at the border
1
Arrive at the border
At Yerevan's Zvartnots Airport (EVN) or any land border crossing, join the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Have your passport and return ticket ready. The officer will stamp you in — no forms to fill, no fee to pay.
2
Receive entry stamp
The officer will stamp your passport with the date of entry and the allowed stay (up to 180 days). Check the stamp before leaving the counter — make sure the dates are correct.
3
Collect luggage and exit
After the stamp, proceed to baggage claim (if flying) and then customs. There's no customs declaration form for personal items. Walk through the green channel if you have nothing to declare.
Enter your arrival date and we'll tell you exactly when you need to leave.
