|---|---|---|
| ETA application Electronic Travel Authorization | Apply for your Sri Lanka ETA at eta.gov.lk before travel. The ETA costs $35–$50 USD depending on processing speed and is valid for 30 days. | Valid passport Must cover your entire stay | Your Finnish passport needs at least 6 months of validity from your date of entry into Sri Lanka. Airlines at Helsinki check this before boarding — if your passport expires sooner, renew it first. | Required |
| Return or onward ticket Proof of departure | Immigration at Bandaranaike International Airport asks for a confirmed onward ticket. Have a printed copy or show it on your phone — they check this at the visa-on-arrival counter. | Required |
| Proof of accommodation Hotel booking or invitation letter | Carry a printed hotel reservation or a letter from your host in Sri Lanka. Officers at the visa counter sometimes ask for it, especially if you're staying more than a week. | Recommended |
| Proof of funds Financial means for your stay | Have a bank statement or credit card showing you can cover your expenses. Immigration rarely asks for it, but having $50–$100 USD per day available keeps things smooth. | Recommended |
