Valid passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond departure
Your Iraqi passport must have at least 6 months of remaining validity from your departure date from Singapore. Airlines check this before boarding — if your passport expires sooner, you'll be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of onward travel
Immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed onward ticket out of Singapore. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight itinerary ready — they check this at the counter.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a hotel reservation confirmation or a letter of invitation from your host in Singapore. Officers may ask for it, especially if you're staying at a private address.Recommended
Proof of funds
Sufficient cash or bank statement
Have at least SGD 1,000 (or equivalent in cash, traveler's cheques, or a bank statement) for your stay. Immigration may request proof you can cover expenses without working.Recommended
No visa on arrival
Iraqi passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival in Singapore. You must have an approved eVisa before you board your flight. Airlines will check this before issuing your boarding pass.
eVisa is not a guarantee of entry
Having an approved eVisa does not guarantee entry. The immigration officer at Changi Airport makes the final decision. You must still meet all entry requirements (passport validity, return ticket, accommodation, etc.).

What happens at the border

1
Apply for eVisa Online
Go to the official ICA eVisa portal or use an authorized agent. Fill in your personal details, passport info, and travel plans. Pay the fee (SGD 30–50 depending on agent). Wait 3–5 working days for approval. You'll receive an email with your eVisa letter.
2
Prepare Your Documents
Print your eVisa approval letter. Ensure your passport has 6+ months validity and at least one blank page. Book your return/onward ticket and first night accommodation. Save screenshots of both on your phone.
3
Arrival at Changi Airport
After landing, follow signs to 'Arrivals' and then 'Foreign Passports'. Join the queue for manual counters (automated gates are not available for Iraqi passports). Hand over your passport, eVisa printout, and return ticket if asked. The officer will stamp your passport. Collect your luggage and proceed through customs.
4
Complete SG Arrival Card (if applicable)
As of 2026, the SG Arrival Card is not required for Iraqi passport holders, but check the ICA website before travel in case rules change. If required, submit it online up to 3 days before arrival.
