Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must cover your entire stay in Georgia
Your Jordanian passport needs to be valid for the full duration of your stay. Georgia does not enforce a 6-month validity rule beyond your departure date, but airlines may ask for at least 3 months remaining.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Georgia
Immigration officers at Tbilisi and Kutaisi airports routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy ready — a bus or train ticket to a neighboring country also works.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Border officers rarely ask for it, but having a hotel confirmation or a letter from your host speeds things up. Airbnb bookings are fine.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
No set amount is published, but carrying around $500 in cash or having a bank statement on your phone covers you. ATMs are plentiful in Tbilisi and Batumi.Recommended
No visa needed — just show up
Jordanians get 360 days visa-free in Georgia. No application, no fee, no embassy visit. Just a valid passport and a return ticket.
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date you enter Georgia. If it's close to expiring, renew it before you travel — you will be turned away otherwise.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at the border
Whether you fly into Tbilisi International Airport, Kutaisi, or Batumi, or cross by land from Turkey, Armenia, or Azerbaijan, go to the 'Foreign Passports' queue. Have your passport and return ticket ready.
2
Hand over your passport
The officer will scan your passport and may ask a few questions: how long you're staying, where you're staying, and when you're leaving. Answer clearly and briefly.
3
Receive entry stamp
You'll get an entry stamp in your passport. Check the date — it should match the day you arrived. No visa sticker or additional paperwork needed.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After the stamp, proceed to baggage claim (if you checked bags), then walk through customs. Green channel if you have nothing to declare. You're in.

Frequently asked questions

Up to 360 days per calendar year. That's almost a full year — one of the most generous visa-free allowances for Jordanians anywhere. You can enter and exit multiple times within that period, but the total days in Georgia cannot exceed 360 in a 12-month window.
No. The visa-free stay is not extendable. If you want to stay longer, you'd need to leave Georgia and re-enter after some time outside the country. Overstaying can result in fines and potential entry bans.
Yes, immigration officers may ask for proof of onward travel. A return flight or bus ticket out of Georgia is sufficient. A screenshot on your phone is usually accepted, but having a printed copy is safer.
You will likely be denied entry. The 6-month validity rule is strictly enforced at Georgian borders. Renew your passport before traveling.
No. The visa-free entry is for tourism, business meetings, and short visits only. If you plan to work or study, you need to apply for the appropriate visa or residence permit before arriving.
No. Georgia does not require foreign visitors to register with authorities upon arrival. Just keep your passport with the entry stamp safe.
Overstaying is a violation of immigration law. You may face a fine (around 180 GEL for the first 90 days over, then increasing), and could be banned from re-entering Georgia for a period. Always track your days carefully.
