What happens at the border

1
Apply for a Schengen visa
Book an appointment at the Norwegian embassy in Nairobi or a VFS Global centre. Submit your application, passport, photos, and supporting documents. Pay the fee (€80 for adults, €40 for children 6–12). Processing takes about 15 calendar days.
2
Wait for visa decision
The embassy will check your documents and may call you for an interview. Once approved, they'll affix the visa sticker to your passport. Collect it in person or via courier.
3
Arrive in Norway
At Oslo Gardermoen or any other airport, go to the non-EU queue. Hand over your passport with the visa. The officer may ask about your trip, accommodation, and return ticket. Answer clearly and briefly.
4
Get stamped in
The officer will stamp your passport with your entry date and allowed stay. Check the stamp before leaving the counter — if the dates are wrong, ask for a correction immediately.
