What happens at the border

1
Apply for e-Visa online
Go to etakenya.go.ke and fill out the application. You'll need a digital passport photo, passport scan, flight itinerary, and accommodation proof. Pay the fee online — it's around $51 USD (about 15.5 KWD). Processing takes 2-5 business days.
2
Receive e-Visa via email
Once approved, you'll get a PDF e-Visa by email. Print a copy and save it on your phone. The visa is usually valid for 90 days from issue, for a single entry.
3
Arrive at JKIA or other entry point
At Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (Nairobi) or other land/sea borders, go to the 'Visas on Arrival' counter if you have an e-Visa. Present your passport, printed e-Visa, and return ticket. You'll get an entry stamp. The process takes 5-15 minutes if you have all documents ready.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After immigration, collect your bags from the carousel. You may be asked to show your yellow fever vaccination card at health screening. Then proceed to customs (green channel if nothing to declare).
