Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must cover your entire stay in Georgia
Your passport needs to be valid for the full duration of your stay. Georgia does not require 6 months of remaining validity beyond your departure date, but airlines sometimes enforce this — check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Georgia
Immigration officers may ask for a return or onward ticket to confirm you will leave within the 360-day visa-free period. Have a printed or digital copy ready.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a hotel reservation, rental agreement, or a letter from your host in Georgia. Officers rarely ask for it, but having it avoids delays.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Have bank statements or a credit card ready to demonstrate you have enough money for your stay. There is no set minimum amount, but around $50 per day is a safe benchmark.Recommended
No visa needed — just show up
Kazakhstan passport holders enjoy visa-free access to Georgia for up to 360 days. No application, no fee, no embassy visit. Just arrive with a valid passport and a return ticket.
6-month passport validity is strictly enforced
Georgian border officers check passport validity from your date of entry. If your passport expires within 6 months of landing, you will be denied boarding or entry. Renew your passport before you travel.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at any Georgian port of entry
You can fly into Tbilisi International Airport (TBS), Kutaisi International Airport (KUT), or Batumi International Airport (BUS). You can also enter by land from Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, or Russia. No visa is required, so you simply join the standard immigration queue.
2
Present your passport to the border officer
Hand over your passport. The officer will check your passport validity (6+ months) and may ask a few questions: purpose of visit, length of stay, where you're staying. Answer honestly and briefly.
3
Receive your entry stamp
The officer stamps your passport with the date of entry. No visa sticker is issued. You are now legally in Georgia for up to 360 days. Keep the stamp legible — it's your proof of legal entry.
4
Collect your luggage and exit
After passport control, proceed to baggage claim (if you checked bags), then walk through customs. There are no customs forms for most personal items. You're free to go.
