Visa required for Lebanese passport holders
You must obtain a UAE entry visa before travel. Lebanese passport holders are not eligible for the UAE eVisa, so apply through the nearest UAE embassy or consulate, or through a UAE-based sponsor (e.g., hotel, airline, or family member) who can apply on your behalf. Allow sufficient processing time.Required
Passport validityThe UAE enforces a strict 6-month validity rule; if your passport is close to expiry, renew it first.
At least 6 months from arrival
Your Lebanese passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended date of arrival in the UAE. If your passport expires sooner, renew it before applying for the visa.Required

At least 1 blank page

Return or onward ticketHaving a ticket out of the UAE proves you are not planning to overstay.
Proof of departure from UAE
You must have a confirmed return or onward flight ticket showing you will leave the UAE before your visa expires. This is often checked at check-in and by UAE immigration.Required
Proof of fundsImmigration may ask how you will support yourself; having proof helps avoid issues.
Sufficient funds for your stay
Carry evidence of sufficient funds (e.g., bank statements, credit cards, cash) to cover your accommodation and expenses during your stay. The amount is not fixed but should match your planned itinerary.Recommended

Arrival declarationYou do not need to fill out any special form upon arrival.
Not required
No arrival declaration (such as a health or customs form) is required for Lebanese passport holders entering the UAE.Not required
No visa on arrival — don't risk it
Lebanese passport holders cannot get a UAE visa at the airport. Arriving without a pre-arranged visa means you'll be denied entry and sent back on the next flight. Always secure your visa before booking non-refundable flights.
Apply early — processing can be slow
Embassy processing times can stretch to two weeks or more, especially during peak travel seasons. Start your application at least a month in advance to avoid last-minute stress.

What happens at the border

1
Contact the UAE embassy or consulate
Find the nearest UAE embassy or consulate in your country. Call or check their website for the exact visa application procedure — requirements can vary slightly by post.
2
Prepare your documents
Gather your passport, photos, accommodation proof, flight itinerary, and bank statements. Make photocopies of everything — the embassy will likely keep them.
3
Submit your application
Submit your completed application form and documents in person or through an authorized visa service. Pay the visa fee (varies by embassy and visa type). Processing can take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks — apply well in advance.
4
Receive your visa and travel
Once approved, you'll get a visa sticker or an electronic visa document. When you arrive at a UAE airport (like Dubai or Abu Dhabi), go to the immigration counter, present your passport and visa, and you'll be stamped in.

Transit visa required

Lebanese passport holders require a visa to enter the UAE, even for transit. However, if you remain airside (do not pass through immigration) and your layover is less than 12 hours, you may not need a visa. For longer layovers or if you wish to leave the airport, you must obtain a transit visa in advance.

Exceptions & conditions
  • Passengers with confirmed onward tickets and who stay airside for less than 12 hours do not need a visa.
