Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must cover your entire stay in Georgia
Your Lithuanian passport needs to be valid for the full duration of your stay. Georgia does not require 6 months of remaining validity — just enough to cover the dates you plan to be in the country.Required
Return or onward ticket
Recommended for visa-free entry
Immigration officers at Tbilisi and Kutaisi airports routinely ask for proof of onward travel. Have a printed or digital copy of your return flight or a ticket to your next destination ready.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Recommended for visa-free entry
Carry a hotel booking confirmation or an invitation letter from your host. Officers rarely ask for it, but having it ready avoids delays at the border.Recommended
Proof of funds
Recommended for visa-free entry
Have access to at least 200 GEL per day (roughly €70) in cash, card, or bank statement. Georgia does not enforce a minimum amount strictly, but showing you can support yourself helps.Recommended
360-day stay resets on exit
The 360-day clock starts from your entry stamp. If you leave Georgia and re-enter, you get a fresh 360 days. There is no minimum time you must spend outside the country.
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Border officers check the 6-month rule at every entry. If your passport expires sooner, you will be refused entry — no exceptions. Renew your passport well in advance.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at a Georgian port of entry
Fly into Tbilisi International Airport (TBS), Kutaisi (KUT), or Batumi (BUS). Land border crossings from Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, or Russia also work. No visa is needed — just join the 'Foreign Passports' queue.
2
Present your passport to the border officer
Hand over your Lithuanian passport. The officer will check the validity (6+ months), scan it, and stamp it. They may ask your purpose of visit (tourism is fine) and how long you plan to stay.
3
Show supporting documents if asked
Have your return ticket and accommodation booking ready. In practice, most Lithuanian travellers are waved through without showing them, but keep them accessible.
4
Receive your entry stamp
The officer stamps your passport with the entry date. No visa sticker or separate document is issued. You're free to stay up to 360 days from that stamp.
