Apply for ETA online

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB)
After landing, follow signs to 'Immigration' or 'E-Visa/ETA' counters. Have your passport, ETA approval, and return ticket ready. The officer will stamp your passport, typically granting a 30-day stay.

Proceed to baggage claim and customs
After clearing immigration, collect your bags and walk through the green 'Nothing to Declare' channel if you have no restricted items. Then you're free to exit.

Transiting through Sri Lanka
Transit visa required
Transit passengers must obtain a Transit ETA before arrival if they will pass through immigration. Airside transit without entering Sri Lanka may be exempt if staying within the international transit area and not passing immigration.
