Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Singapore eVisa
Libyan passport holders must apply for a Singapore eVisa before travel. Submit your application through the official Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) portal at ica.gov.sg. Processing typically takes 3–5 working days, and the visa is valid for up to 2 years for multiple entries.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must cover entire stay
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended departure date from Singapore. Airlines and immigration officers strictly enforce this rule — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of onward travel
Immigration officers at Changi Airport routinely ask for a confirmed return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight itinerary ready — they check this at the counter before issuing your entry stamp.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or invitation letter
Carry a hotel reservation confirmation or a letter of invitation from your host in Singapore. Immigration may ask for this at the border, especially if you are staying with friends or family.Recommended
Proof of funds
Sufficient cash or bank statement
Have at least SGD 1,000 (or equivalent in foreign currency) available per person for your stay. A recent bank statement or credit card showing available credit works — immigration rarely asks, but it is better to have it ready.Recommended
eVisa required — no visa on arrival
Libyan passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival in Singapore. You must obtain an eVisa before you fly. Airlines will check this before boarding.
Passport validity counts from entry date
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you arrive in Singapore, not from your departure date. If it expires sooner, renew it first.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official ICA eVisa portal or use an authorized visa agent. Fill in your personal details, upload a passport-style photo, and pay the fee. Processing usually takes 3–5 working days, but can be longer during peak periods.
2
Receive and print your eVisa approval
Once approved, you'll get an e-mail with the eVisa letter. Print a copy and also save a PDF on your phone. The letter includes a barcode that immigration will scan.
3
Prepare your documents for arrival
Before you fly, gather: passport (6+ months validity), printed eVisa, return ticket, and first-night hotel booking. Keep them in your carry-on, not checked luggage.
4
Arrive at Changi Airport and clear immigration
At Changi Airport, follow signs to 'Foreign Passports' immigration counters. Hand over your passport and eVisa letter. The officer may ask about your hotel and return flight — answer clearly. You'll receive an entry stamp valid for up to 30 days (or as per your eVisa).
