Moroccan passport holders need an eVisa to visit India in 2026. The eVisa covers tourism, business, and medical visits, and you must apply online before you travel.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply online before travel
Apply for an Indian eVisa at indianvisaonline.gov.in at least 4 days before departure. Fees range from $25 to $80 USD depending on the visa type (tourist, business, medical). Approval usually comes within 72 hours — print the approval email and carry it with your passport.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must have at least 6 months validity
Your Moroccan passport needs at least 6 months of remaining validity from your date of arrival in India. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from India
Immigration officers at Indian airports routinely ask for a confirmed onward or return ticket. Have a printed copy or a digital version on your phone showing your departure from India within your eVisa validity period.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a hotel confirmation or a letter from your host with their address and contact details. Officers rarely ask for it, but having it ready avoids delays at the counter.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can cover your stay
Have a bank statement or credit card showing you have enough funds for your trip. There is no fixed minimum amount, but around $300–$500 USD for a short visit is a safe benchmark.Recommended
eVisa is not a guaranteed entry
Having an approved eVisa does not guarantee entry. The immigration officer at the port of arrival has the final say. Always carry supporting documents like your return ticket and accommodation confirmation.
eVisa types and validity
The Indian eVisa comes in three main types: tourist (30 days, double entry), business (1 year, multiple entry), and medical (60 days, triple entry). Choose the right one for your trip.

What happens at the border

1
Apply for the eVisa online
Go to the official Indian eVisa website (indianvisaonline.gov.in). Fill in your details, upload a passport photo and a scan of your passport info page. Pay the fee online. Processing usually takes 3-5 business days.
2
Receive and print your eVisa
Once approved, you'll get an email with your eVisa. Print a copy and also save it on your phone. You'll need to show it at check-in and upon arrival.
3
Book your flights and accommodation
Book a return or onward ticket and your first night's accommodation. Keep the confirmations handy — immigration may ask to see them.
4
Arrive at an Indian airport with eVisa facility
The eVisa is valid at 28 major airports including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Goa. When you land, go to the 'eVisa' queue. Present your passport and eVisa. The officer will take your photo and fingerprints, then stamp you in.
