Your passport needs to be valid only for the length of your stay in the Maldives. Airlines sometimes enforce 6-month validity — check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from the Maldives
Immigration officers routinely ask for a confirmed onward ticket at Male International Airport. A flight booking or ferry ticket to another country works — just show it on your phone.Recommended

Most visitors arrive with a resort or guesthouse booking — the speedboat transfer to your island depends on it. A printed or digital confirmation from Booking.com or Agoda is fine.Recommended
Proof of funds
Sufficient money for your stay
Officials rarely ask for proof of funds, but having a credit card or $100–$200 USD in cash covers any unexpected costs like a late departure tax or extra night.Recommended
