Visa on arrival
Visa on arrival
Get your visa on arrival at Yerevan's Zvartnots Airport or other land borders. Have a printed copy of your hotel booking and return ticket ready — border officers often ask to see both. The visa costs 3,000 AMD (about $8 USD) for 21 days single entry, or 15,000 AMD for 120 days multiple entry.Apply onlineRequired
Valid passport
Passport validity
Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond your planned departure date from Armenia. Airlines at Muscat check this before boarding — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of onward travel
Border officers at Zvartnots Airport routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready — they may check it before stamping your visa.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Have a printed hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host in Armenia. Officers at the visa-on-arrival counter sometimes ask for it, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary.Recommended
Cash only for visa fee
The visa on arrival counter does not accept credit or debit cards. Bring Armenian Dram or US dollars in cash. There are ATMs in the arrivals hall, but they may charge high fees.
Visa on arrival is straightforward
The process is quick — usually under 10 minutes. Have your passport, completed form, and cash ready. No photo or printed invitation needed.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at immigration
At Yerevan Zvartnots Airport, follow signs to 'Visa on Arrival' after passport control. At land borders, look for the visa office before the immigration booth.
2
Fill out the visa application form
A short form asking for your name, passport number, and length of stay. You can fill it at the counter — no need to print in advance.
3
Pay the fee and get your visa
Hand over your passport, the form, and the fee in cash. The officer will process it on the spot — usually takes 5–10 minutes. You'll get a sticker in your passport.
4
Proceed to passport control
With the visa in your passport, join the regular immigration queue. Have your return ticket and accommodation ready in case they ask.
