Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your passport must be valid for the entire time you plan to be in Georgia. Georgia does not require 6 months of validity beyond your departure date, but some airlines may enforce this — check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Georgia
Immigration officers at Tbilisi and Kutaisi airports routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your outbound booking ready — they rarely check the date, just that you have one.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Border officers may ask where you're staying, especially if you arrive without a clear itinerary. A hotel confirmation or a letter from a host in Georgia is enough — keep a copy on your phone.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself
Georgia does not have a fixed minimum amount, but officers may ask how you'll fund your stay. Have a bank statement or credit card ready — 300–500 GEL per week is a safe benchmark.Recommended
Visa-free for 360 days
Omani passport holders can stay in Georgia for up to 360 days per year without a visa. This is one of the most generous visa-free policies in the world — no other country offers such a long stay for Omanis.
Passport validity is strictly enforced
Georgia requires your passport to be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry. If your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding by the airline and refused entry at the border. Check your passport now.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at the border
Whether you fly into Tbilisi International Airport (TBS), Kutaisi (KUT), or Batumi (BUS), or cross by land from Turkey, Armenia, or Azerbaijan, you'll join the 'Foreign Passports' queue. At Tbilisi airport, this is usually on the left after passport control signs.
2
Present your passport
Hand over your passport to the border officer. They will check your passport validity (6+ months) and may ask about your travel plans. Answer honestly — typical questions: 'How long are you staying?' and 'Where are you staying?'
3
Receive entry stamp
The officer will stamp your passport with the date of entry and the allowed stay (up to 360 days). No visa fee is charged. The whole process usually takes 1-2 minutes.
4
Collect luggage and exit
After passport control, collect your checked luggage from the carousel and proceed through customs. There are no arrival forms or declarations to fill out for standard tourist visits.
