United Kingdom entry requirements for Peru passport holders
Peruvian passport holders need a visa to enter the United Kingdom. You must apply and receive approval before you travel — there is no visa-on-arrival or eTA option for Peruvians in 2026.
Entry requirements
| Requirement | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| UK Visitor Visa (Electronic Visa Waiver)You must get this online approval before you fly; it is not issued on arrival. Apply online before travel | Peruvian citizens must obtain an Electronic Visa Waiver (EVW) before travelling to the UK. The EVW is valid for 6 months and allows a single entry for up to 6 months. Apply online at least 48 hours before departure. | Required |
| Passport validityCheck your passport expiry date – if it's too close, renew it before applying for the EVW. Valid for at least 6 months | Your Peruvian passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended date of departure from the UK. | Required |
| Blank passport pagesThe border officer will stamp your passport; a blank page is needed for that. At least 1 blank page | Your passport must have at least one blank page for the entry stamp upon arrival in the UK. | Required |
| Return or onward ticketHaving a booked departure flight helps convince border officers you will not overstay. Proof of departure | Although not always requested, you should carry proof of a return or onward ticket to show you intend to leave the UK before your visa expires. | Recommended |
| Proof of fundsCarry bank statements or credit cards to prove you can support yourself during your trip. Sufficient money for your stay | You may be asked to show you have enough money to cover your accommodation and living expenses for the duration of your visit. No fixed amount is specified, but you should have access to funds (cash, cards, bank statements). | Recommended |
| Accommodation detailsBorder officers may ask where you are staying; having this info speeds up entry. Where you will stay | Have the address and booking confirmation of your hotel or host's contact details ready to present to border control if asked. | Recommended |
| Travel insuranceUK healthcare is not free for visitors; insurance protects you from high costs. Medical and trip coverage | While not a legal requirement, travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover medical emergencies, trip cancellation, and lost belongings. | Recommended |
| Arrival declarationYou do not need to fill out any arrival form before landing. Not required | No arrival declaration is required for entry into the UK. | Not required |

- Holders of a valid visa for the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or an EEA country (with certain conditions) may transit without a visa under TWOV.
