Slovenian passport holders can get a visa on arrival at Cambodia's international airports and land borders. This is the standard way to enter for tourism — no need to apply in advance. As of 2026, the visa on arrival costs US$30 and allows a 30-day stay.

Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
eVisa application
Apply online before travel
Apply at evisa.gov.kh at least 3 business days before departure. The eVisa costs $30 USD, covers a single entry, and is valid for 90 days. Print two copies — immigration keeps one, and your hotel may ask for the other.Apply for eVisaRequired
Valid passport
Must be valid for 6 months beyond arrival
Your Slovenian passport needs at least 6 months of remaining validity from the date you enter Cambodia. Airlines check this at check-in — if your passport expires sooner, you will be denied boarding.Required
Return or onward ticket
Immigration will ask for proof of departure
You need a flight out of Cambodia within your visa validity. Immigration officers at Phnom Penh and Siem Reap routinely ask for this. A bus or boat ticket to a neighboring country also works.Required
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Have your hotel confirmation or host's address ready. Immigration may ask where you are staying, especially if you arrive without a pre-booked hotel. A printed booking confirmation is safest.Recommended
Proof of funds
Cash or bank statement
Carry at least $500 USD in cash or have a bank statement showing sufficient funds. Immigration rarely asks, but if you cannot show means to support yourself, they may deny entry.Recommended
E-visa alternative
If you want to skip the visa-on-arrival queue, apply for an e-visa online before you travel. It costs US$36, takes 3 business days, and you just show the PDF on your phone at immigration.
Cash only for visa on arrival
The visa-on-arrival fee must be paid in US dollars cash. There are no ATMs before the visa counter. Bring US$30 in small bills — larger notes may be refused.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at the visa-on-arrival counter
After deplaning at Phnom Penh or Siem Reap airport, follow signs to 'Visa on Arrival'. Fill out the application form (available at the counter). Have your passport, photo, and US$30 ready.
2
Submit documents and pay
Hand over your passport, completed form, photo, and cash. The officer will process your visa. This usually takes 5–15 minutes.
3
Collect your passport with visa
Once processed, you'll get your passport back with the visa sticker inside. Check that the validity dates are correct.
4
Proceed to immigration
Join the immigration queue. Present your passport with the new visa. You may be asked for your onward ticket or accommodation — have them ready.
