Entry requirements

RequirementDetailsStatus
Valid passport
Must be valid for the duration of your stay
Your passport needs to be valid for the entire time you're in Singapore. Six months validity beyond departure is not required, but some airlines still enforce it — check with your carrier before flying.Required
Return or onward ticket
Proof of departure from Singapore
Immigration officers routinely ask for a return or onward ticket. Have a printed or digital copy of your flight booking ready — budget airlines like Scoot and AirAsia check this before boarding.Recommended
Proof of accommodation
Hotel booking or host invitation
Carry a copy of your hotel reservation or a letter of invitation from your host. Immigration rarely asks for it, but having it ready avoids delays if they do.Recommended
Proof of funds
Show you can support yourself during your stay
Have access to at least 1,000 SGD in cash, a credit card, or a bank statement. Immigration may ask to see it if you look like you're working or overstaying.Recommended
Overstaying is serious
Even one day over your 30-day limit can result in a fine of up to SGD 1,000 and a ban from re-entering Singapore. Set a reminder to leave on time.
No arrival card needed
Unlike many other countries, Singapore does not require Thai passport holders to fill out an SG Arrival Card. Just your passport and return ticket.

What happens at the border

1
Arrive at Changi Airport
After landing, follow signs to 'Arrivals' and then 'Foreign Passports'. Join the queue for non-Singaporean passports. Have your passport and return ticket ready.
2
Present documents to immigration officer
Hand over your passport. The officer may ask your purpose of visit, how long you're staying, and where you're staying. Answer clearly. They'll stamp your passport with a 30-day visit pass.
3
Collect baggage and exit
After the immigration counter, proceed to baggage claim, then customs. No arrival declaration form is needed for Thai passport holders.

You can't extend, but you can leave Singapore (e.g., take a bus to Johor Bahru, Malaysia) and re-enter. Immigration may question frequent back-to-back visits, but a short trip out and back is generally fine.
